The programme provides a structured approach to training, assessments, and appraisals for the endoscopy workforce. The programme offers:
JETS Workforce should be used by current and new endoscopy staff irrespective of grade and title, and can be used to support the NMC and similar revalidation processes.
JETS workforce is comprised of three levels. Level one consists of two sections (foundation and decontamination) and is available now. Level two (which covers advanced endoscopy) and level three (which focuses on management and leadership and assessing clinical practice) are in development and will be launched in autumn 2020.
JETS workforce was launched in April 2019 and replaces the Gastrointenstinal Endoscopy for Nurses (GIN) platform. Further background information about the training programme can be found in our publication on the British Society of Gastroenterology's web education platform.
